In November 2005, AC Foundry, Inc. implemented these techniques to improve safety, production scheduling, lead times, transportation, down time, inventory control, ergonomics, process flow, and scrap.
Through employee involvement AC Foundry, Inc. has made many improvements towards being a leader in producing high quality aluminum castings.

Innovation and Technology has allowed AC Foundry to become a leader in the aluminum casting industry. The implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and the purchase of solidification and flow modeling software fortified our position as a preferred supplier.
AC Foundry committed to lean manufacturing principles in the fall of 2005 and has since reduced Work In Process inventory by 75%, improved process flow, lowered scrap, reduced changeover times, and improved on time delivery. Through employee involvement, cross training, and 5S, a culture of continuous improvement promotes innovation and controlled change that maintains our competitive edge.
The purchase of SOLIDCast and FLOWCast software advanced AC Foundry's ability to assist in the design and launch of new products by simulating the flow of metal and solidification of castings before a tool is made avoiding costly mistakes, delays and excessive samples.
