AC Foundry, Inc. utilizes some of the latest technology in electric and gas melting. Currently, we have six (6) Thermtonix 2,300 pound capacity electric resistance melting furnaces utilizing Rotary Degassing and Flux Injection.

Through the use of a Spectrometer and various gas testing equipment, AC Foundry, Inc. assures the metal meets the customer requirements and also has the ability to chemically certify each shipment of castings produced.

In 1998, the foundry installed a Thermtronix Dual Alloy, Twin Chamber, High Bay Dry Hearth Melting Furnace. Designed with a melt rate of 2,000 pounds/hour and a holding capacity of 9,000 pounds, this furnace allows the foundry to continuously melt aluminum while pouring.

AC Foundry, Inc. has two (2) “Non-Crucible Melting Furnace's” also manufactured by Thermtronix. These furnaces have a melt rate of 660 pounds/hour and a holding capacity of 3000 pounds. These furnaces are utilized in the foundry's permanent mold operation.
